Its lead is fully bonded with the wood surround and is therefore particularly break-resistant. The Castell 9000 is available in 16 different degrees of hardness, making it the ideal pencil for all technical and artistic applications.

Table Top Sharpener 1809
The quality of a sharpener, especially the blade, is crucial for optimum sharpening of wood-clad pencils. Due to their robust and hard leads, graphite pencils can be sharpened to a very thin point. Given their softer leads, colour pencils are sharpened to a shorter and blunter point. For optimum sharpening, we recommend replacing the sharpener now and then because the sharpener blade will become blunt over time. This results in more tip breakages.
- Standard sharpening machine with fixing clamp
- Variable point setting: long and sharp or short and blunt
- For round, triangular and hexagonal barrels up to 12 mm diameter (Standard-Sized and Jumbo-sized pencils)
- Available in Green & Red (Body colour)
